Welcome to AI Literacy 101
You're at chapter one.
Nothing artificial is intelligent.
Nothing intelligent is artificial.
This is where AI Literacy begins. Where you will walk out with the single idea the whole thing turns on, and a few real tools you can put to work tomorrow. The full course is what we bring to your organization. For now, let's take our first step.
The One Idea
AI is stupid.
Useful, but stupid.
It does not think. It has no mind, no brain, no opinions of its own. It's simply the world's largest swimming pool with all of the retrieable words in the world, poured in with no context. Its primary talent is guessing the next most likely word, then the next, then the next. It is the predictive text on your phone, scaled up past the point where it starts to look like magic. That is the whole trick.
Two things follow, and they are the reason literacy matters. It hallucinates, which is the polite way of saying it lies to you. Confidently. It's also sycophantic, built to agree with you and keep you typing, the way a slot machine keeps you pulling the lever. Knowing this helps you understand the true nature of the tool.
The Problem
Your team is already using it.
Some of them well. Most of them poorly. And a few are opening a door to liability you cannot see yet. This is not hypothetical. In Mata v. Avianca, an attorney with thirty years of experience filed a brief built on six court cases that did not exist, because AI invented them and he trusted it without checking. By 2025, more than 486 similar filings had been documented in U.S. courts alone. The problem was never the tool. The problem is AI literacy, or the absence of it.
Why Now
The ground already shifted.
66 percent of employers now want new hires who understand AI. 71 percent say they would take a candidate with less skill in the actual job, as long as that person has a working grasp of the tool. The head of the world's largest chip maker put it plainly: you will not lose your job to AI, you will lose it to a person who uses AI. The gap is not between people and machines. It's about understanding what the tool actually is and learning how to properly use it.
The Method
The Human Factor.
Human First. Human Last. This is the working discipline the whole course is built on. The human writes the prompt, with full context. The AI does the mechanical work in the middle. The human verifies every word before it leaves the room. Humans Aren't Replaced. The work doesn't get done without them. This is AI Literacy.
Human First. Human Last.
The Payoff
What changes for your team.
- Your people stop trusting AI output blindly, and start verifying it.
- The work that benefits from speed gets faster. The judgment stays where it belongs.
- Your sensitive data stops landing in free tools that train on it.
- Leadership gains a defensible internal policy for how AI gets used.
- Your skeptics get a respectful framework instead of being told to get with the program.
- Your power users get the method to scale what they already do across the whole team.
The Course
Three modules. Built in the right order.
Most AI training leads with the cool tricks, and produces overconfident users who ship work they never checked. We reverse it. Language first, so the words stop intimidating. Context second, because context is queen, and it is the largest lever on quality you have. Methodology third, the Human Factor discipline. Every module is skip-friendly, so your veterans do not sit through basics and your skeptics are never left behind. The case studies are real, named, and current. The method has been field-tested across grant writing, nonprofit operations, legal work, and union professional development.
